Dr. Donaldson has an additional interest in orthopedic research. This is focused on patient outcome studies, basic science studies and clinical trials of new products. Thomas Donaldson is currently participating in several clinical trials involving new state-of-the-art hip and knee components.
He founded the Donaldson Arthritis Research Foundation in 2005 to help support the continuous improvement of joint replacement products and to promote orthopedic education.
He has worked with Dr. Ian Clarke for many years and together they have written many published articles regarding hip and knee replacements.
